Everyday questions & answers

Straightforward answers about using NutriMax in stores, ratings, offline mode, and grocery lists.

NutriMax is currently free to download on Google Play, completely ad-free. The interface supports English and Croatian.

No account is required to scan products, compare items side by side, or manage your shopping list. Signing in is only needed if you want to submit a new product or label correction to the shared NutriMax database.

Offline, you can browse previously saved products, your shopping list, and basic foods already available in the app. If there is no mobile signal in the store, you can save new product details on your phone and submit them once your connection returns.

Simply snap a photo of the nutrition table and ingredient list on the back. The app reads the values automatically, letting you save them instantly on your phone or submit them for review so other shoppers can benefit too.

The general NutriMax rating is the same for everyone and follows identical rules. Your personal rating additionally factors in what you specifically focus on — such as sugar, salt, fibre, or protein. Read more on the NutriMax rating page.

Ratings serve as a practical, informative guide in the aisle, but they do not replace medical advice. A product might have a great nutritional balance, but if you have a specific allergy or medical condition, always check the physical label on the packaging.

If a manufacturer didn't declare a value on the package, NutriMax clearly displays it as “No data”. We never invent numbers or assume an unlisted value is zero.

You can save a new product on your phone for your own use. Submitting to the shared database is entirely your choice — once submitted, label details are verified before becoming available to other shoppers.

You can add items to your list with a single tap. At the grocery store, simply check them off as you navigate the aisles. You can also export and share your list as plain text via any messaging app.

You can report inaccurate label data or any issue through the form on our Support & contact page. Step-by-step instructions for deleting your account and local data can be found on our Account and data deletion page.
